(Animate noun: Er. usag, "governor") (1) An ambassador of very high
rank with a more or less permanent position in charge of a post vital to his
country. (2) In the Second History, in the army of the
Tlâń Kingdom, a "consul" (higher-rank general) who
commands a regional "army" of as many "brigades" as the mission requires.
He has a staff of a "command guardian", and four "proconsuls", plus other
high-ranking common soldiers and noblemen he decides he needs. See
