Pursuit

The Drē has committed a terrible crime.  The Koksē is determined to make it pay, and pursues it across the universe.  The Drē comes to rest for a moment on a little planet in the back end of nowhere; a native observes it, and its pursuer, and has its life changed by the pursuit.  Inspired by "Halo" by Hal Clement; none of the characters in this story is remotely human.
