Reconnaissance in Force

The monsters of the Long Time have appeared twice, and people have died or gone insane just from looking at them.  What are they, and how can they be fought?  Eborai Lapo and Sonic plan to make a quick sortie to the monsters' home universe, just to see if it's possible to exist there.  If they succeed, an extended reconnaisance in force can follow.  But time is funny in the alien universe ...
